MADE IN SWEDEN, SUSTAINABILITY, AND DESIGN
Winters are long and summers are quite often chilly in Sweden. And yet, we Swedes love spending time outdoors, in the woods, on the beach, in the mountains. We’re blessed with a country that isn’t just breathtakingly beautiful and varied, it’s also open to everybody. This makes us very aware of nature – and the environment – from an early age.
Swedish design has always been known for quality combined with functionality. At Light My Fire we’re doing our very best to continue this tradition and develop new exciting products that let you make the most of the outdoors, whether you’re in the city or far from civilization.
BIOBASED PLASTICS
Biobased plastics have a unique advantage over conventional petroleum based plastic in the sense that the composition is made fully, or in part, from plants or other biological matter. In using renewable organic matter we engage in a regenerative cycle that is not only sustainable but an excellent substitute to fossil fuel dependency. The plants growth cycles naturally remove CO2 from the atmosphere suggesting that a global change to biobased plastics would be equal to stopping millions of tons of CO2 emissions every year.
SPORKHOLDER
If you need a break from your
meal there’s a holder built in to the
side of the plate. The Spork is is a
spoon-fork-knife since it has a serrated edge on the side of the fork.This makes it versatile enough to use whether you are backpacking, having a picnic, or just grabbing some lunch to go. If you are using to cook in the backcountry know that it is safe to use with non-stick cookware.
